Trapeze Communications, LLC was founded by three (3) highly successful and recognized individuals with significant accomplishments in the telecommunications arena – each having a proven track record in both start-up and established organizations.
John G. Musci, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Throughout his 25 plus
year career, John has held various executive positions encompassing financial,
operational, managerial, sales and marketing duties in start-up/rapid growth,
privately held and publicly traded companies. The first seven years of John’s
professional career were spent with Ohio Bell - now SBC
SBC) and AT&T, (NYSE: T) before going to a start-up company (LiTel Telecommunications,
Inc , later becoming LCI International) where he created the Wholesale and
Alternate Channel Divisions. As Senior Vice President and a key member of
the LCI executive management team, John successfully helped grow the business
of this $2.2 Billion company – with his division representing one-third
of LCI’s total revenue - before its sale to Qwest (NYSE: Q). Upon the
sale, John became SVP of Qwest’s Wholesale Switched Services, before
being recruited by Venture Capitalist to run another start-up company – ITXC
Corp.- now Teleglobe (NASD: TLGB). During his two (2) year tenure as Chief
Operating Officer and EVP of ITXC, John drove the company from a start-up
with less than $1 million in annual revenue, to one of the world’s
largest international carriers with annual revenues exceeding $160 Million,
operations in over 120 countries and 23 time zones, and a successful IPO
and Secondary Offering that raised almost $500 Million. Most significantly,
ITXC did all of this over the internet - using VoIP!
has organized and formed various start-up companies since the early
1980s - primarily focusing on the telecommunications industry. He
has been instrumental in negotiating competitive deals with industry
leaders as well as recruiting top professionals in sales, marketing
and operations to ensure the profitability and success of each company.
Frank has successfully established, operated and negotiated the sale
of two start-up companies (Union Telephone Co and Enterprise
Telecom Services Ltd. - sold to a division of General
Electric Capital) which
relied heavily on agent and wholesales channels for distribution.
Frank also founded Atlas Communications, Ltd, whose
assets he sold to Phone 1Globalwide Inc.(OTC BB: PHGW.OB).
He now owns the very successful internet marketing company Free
Spark LLC, but is devoting
his full time efforts to Trapeze. Frank was one of the founders of
International Resellers Association (the first resellers
association and a predecessor to CompTel) and has served on various
including the Sprint Executive Board, AT&T's
EPSCS Users Counsel, Free Spark, LLC., Atlas
Communications, Ltd, Enterprise
Telecom Services, Ltd., and Union Telephone.
He was named as "Top 25 Most Influential People in Competitive LD"
for three consecutive years by PHONE+ Magazine, Adjunct
Professor and Entrepreneur in Residence at Temple University in
